Hello,

To begin with, I would like to thank all of you again for the outstanding teamwork and patience that has been demonstrated with remote learning during our school closure. Students, parents and staff members have been simply amazing! As you know, we are currently under Governor Gordon’s most recent statewide orders that are in effect from May 1st - May 15th. These orders do not allow entire schools to be open, but they do allow school to be open for “special populations” in a “limited manner”. We are anticipating that Governor Gordon will issue new orders sometime next week that will be effective beyond May 15th. Once we understand these new orders, we will be sending out detailed information on how the school year will end in Uinta 4. We have remained hopeful in this school district that we will be able to return to school in some fashion at the end of the school year, even if in a limited capacity. The Governor’s new orders will let us know if that is possible. Until we know more, we will continue to follow our state approved remote learning plan. Thanks again for your patience and resiliency.

Superintendent Newton
